I’m Paul Le Breton, a freelance creative designer based in Jersey, Channel Islands, with a wealth of experience spanning over 30 years.

Oh and I love good coffee.

For me, creativity is all about having fun. If it’s not, what’s the point? Oh, and I love doing this sh*t.

I’ve worked for local award-winning advertising agencies throughout my working career. But now, I’m flying solo. It’s just me, the cat….oh and loads of coffee. I love coffee.

Over the years, I have created and developed many high-profile campaigns for local, national and international clients including the travel, financial, health, law, charity, leisure and retail sectors.

My passion lies in creating branding and identity that communicates values, builds trust, loyalty and integrity as well as appealing to the target audience and gets them coming back for more and more.

I also specialise in the following areas:

  • Logo design and brand identity

  • Design for print

  • Advertising campaigns

  • Packaging design

  • Apparel design

How I roll. The project process.

Every project has different requirements and objectives, but they all require a process in order to achieve their desired outcome.

01. The Brief

The most critical part of any creative project. Without a brief, we’re pretty much just shooting in the dark. So, by listening and understanding to your needs, values, objectives and desired outcomes, we create a tight brief to make the project hits the spot.

02. Researching

During this stage, it’s time to review your competitors, what they’re up to and what we can do differently to create disruption in the space we’re working in. The components are also thought about here - typefaces, colours, images, illustrations etc.

03. Designing

This is where the ideas start to get put together. Starting with a bit of ‘old school’ pencil and paper approach, scamps and sketches form the basis of our direction. From here, we take it online and start to formulate the visuals ready for you to review.

04. Presentation

Once the creative approach is at a stage to review with you and if required, a presentation ‘deck’ is created, along with rationale for the proposed creative route. This can either be presented in person, by video call or by email.

05. Refinement

This is the stage where any tweaks that you want to make will be made. What we’re creating needs to hit the spot and resonate with your audience, so this is where we make any required changes and refine the creative so that it’s ready for your audience to see.

06. Rollout

Once we’re good to go and the deliverables are ready to be seen by your audience, we proceed to rolling it out. A full suite of the required elements in suitable formats can also be provided to you or your chosen supplier.

He quickly understood the briefs given to him and frequently produced high-level, eye-catching, work that exceeded clients’ expectations. We kept in touch, and when Paul became a freelance graphic designer, JDC engaged his services on several company projects. The advantage of utilising a talented, freelance creative such as Paul, is not just the high-quality of work, it’s also Paul’s competitive hourly rates which compare well against agencies. I would not hesitate to recommend Paul’s creative services."

  • "When we engaged PLB Creative we had already spoken with numerous agencies who just couldn’t get what we wanted. From the start Paul listened to what we wanted and he involved us at every part of the creative process. Because of his engagement with us the finished product was exactly what we wanted. For me dealing with a smaller creative agency was ideal and I would recommend Paul’s services 100%."
